When love is so pure…
…and joyous and unadulterated, it’s only fair to let it be.
I witnessed an LGBT union for the first time and it completely changed my perspective on marriage.
The first toast begun by thanking the Supreme Court for deciding that same sex marriage is equally important.
Because love is love is love is love is love is love. And nothing and nobody can ever take that away!! Not guns, not politics, not hate.
Love was love in the short emotional ceremony that didn’t leave a dry eye in the room.
Love was love during the short photo session where both kept saying “I love you” with every breath.
Love was love during the toast speech where emotions ran so high that words came out choked…
Love was love when the colors inside the cake also playfully revealed a union between two countries!
Love was love when they couldn’t take their eyes off each other and the words “my husband” were uttered many many times through the wild little party that ensued 🙂
What a lot of us take for granted or say it lightly, others are deeply grateful to be able to express out loud without restrictions or prejudice: “I love you”.
And one could only be so lucky as to witness two people that have such a deep respect and gratitude for each other…
