Stop the presses!
“Shelley and Andre booked Andrée Photography.”
This should be the headline of a front page newspaper! Because these two love birds deserve national coverage with their sweet love story!
Few years back Andre traveled from Brazil to US with a tennis scholarship. He met Shelley while both attending the same college in North MS.
To say that I am fortunate to have met this sweet family would be an understatement! Shelley found me on a vendor portal and after a Skype session we decided to make some magic wedding photos together!
When I arrived at the beach venue in Gulf Shores on a gloomy rainy Saturday, I was greeted by a flurry of cheers and hugs and all things pretty! It. Was. Heaven. Mrs Clara, Shelley’s mom, ran around making sure everything is perfect for her baby girl’s wedding day, while her dad and brothers were setting up the guest tent to cozy away from the menacing weather.
After an entire week of nothing but gloom and doom and raining cats and dogs, I was slightly freaking out about our beach ceremony, but guess what… God stopped the rain for long enough where we had our sandy affair without any other interruptions other than a very curious heron hanging around to see what was happening on his territory… Funny little guy!
Must give thank you where it’s due: to my trusted and incredibly helpful and talented assistant/second shooter/crowd gatherer/heavy bed mover (don’t even ask me about that!!) and all around awesome person Ira Bates. He’s one awesome dude and I am very very lucky to have him working with me every time! You never succeed alone and to depend on amazing people every single day is the only key to success!
I’ll leave you now gushing over how gorgeous these people are and holy smokes, can we take a minute to appreciate how fabulous these mint green/sea glass bridesmaids dresses are?! Yes, hello fashionable!!!
